Frequently asked
questions

What is Google Tag Manager (GTM) and why should I use it?

GTM is a free tool that allows you to manage tags without adding code to your website. It enables you to control marketing and analytics tags from a central location, make quick changes, and reduce developer dependency.

What is the difference between GA4 and Universal Analytics?

GA4 uses an event-based data model while Universal Analytics was session-based. GA4 offers cross-platform tracking, machine learning predictions, and enhanced privacy controls. Universal Analytics stopped collecting data as of July 2023.

Why does my e-commerce data appear inconsistent?

Inconsistency typically stems from missing or misconfigured tags, double-firing events, filtering issues, or cross-domain tracking problems. We identify and resolve these issues through a comprehensive data quality audit.

What is server-side tracking and when is it needed?

Server-side tracking sends data through your server instead of the browser. It reduces ad blocker impact, improves data accuracy, and facilitates GDPR/CCPA compliance. It is especially recommended for high-traffic e-commerce sites.

How does Consent Mode work?

Google Consent Mode dynamically adjusts Google tag behavior based on user consent. Even without consent, it sends anonymous pings enabling conversion modeling and supports GDPR/CCPA compliance.

Which e-commerce platforms do you work with?

We work with all popular platforms including Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, IdeaSoft, Ticimax, T-Soft, and custom solutions. We also provide integration for proprietary infrastructures.

What does a data quality audit include?

We conduct a detailed review covering 50+ checkpoints including GTM container analysis, event validation, data layer verification, cross-domain tracking tests, enhanced e-commerce event checks, consent mode configuration, and reporting consistency.

How long does setup and integration take?

Basic GTM and GA4 setup takes 3-5 business days, comprehensive e-commerce integration takes 1-2 weeks, and server-side tracking setup takes 2-3 weeks. Duration may vary based on your existing infrastructure complexity.

Can you review my existing GTM setup?

Yes, we thoroughly examine your existing GTM container structure and identify issues. We report missing events, incorrect triggers, performance issues, and best practice non-compliance.

Do you offer support and maintenance services?

Yes, we offer monthly or annual maintenance packages after setup. These packages include regular data quality checks, platform update compliance, new feature integrations, and priority technical support.
