Conversion Tracking

Twitter (X) Ads
Integration

Strengthen your Conversion API integration with Twitter Pixel, Server-side GTM and Scout. twclid tracking and real-time conversion data included.

What is Twitter (X) Conversion API ?

Twitter (X) Conversion API allows you to send conversion data directly from your server to Twitter instead of the browser. Events like Purchase, AddToCart, PageView, SignUp and Lead are transmitted server-side. This makes you immune to ad blockers and browser restrictions.

Current challenges: Growing ad blocker usage, third-party cookie blocking and browser privacy updates make tracking with Twitter Pixel alone insufficient. A significant portion of conversions can be lost, harming campaign optimization.

Our solution: Scout combines client-side SDK data (twclid, UTM parameters, session info) with server-side webhook data (order details, user information) to send the richest dataset to Twitter Conversion API. Event deduplication is managed automatically.

Frequently asked
questions

What is Twitter (X) Conversion API?

Twitter Conversion API is an interface that allows you to send conversion data directly from your server to Twitter instead of the browser. It is immune to ad blockers and more resilient to browser restrictions. It improves data quality when used alongside Pixel.

What is twclid and why is it important?

twclid is a parameter automatically appended to clicks from Twitter ads. It is used to match conversions back to the ad click that generated them. Scout automatically captures the twclid value and sends it back to Twitter via Conversion API.

Should Twitter Pixel and Conversion API be used together?

Yes, using both together is recommended. Pixel collects data on the client side, Conversion API on the server side. Scout combines these two sources for the highest data quality and event deduplication is managed automatically.

Which events are supported?

Purchase, AddToCart, PageView, SignUp and Lead events are supported. Required parameters for each event (value, currency, content_ids etc.) are automatically populated.

How are ad blocker users tracked?

Twitter Pixel misses conversions from users with ad blockers. Conversion API sends data from the server, so it is immune to ad blockers. Scout's hybrid approach collects data from both sources.

Which e-commerce platforms do you support?

We offer ready-made Pixel and Scout CAPI integration for Ticimax, IdeaSoft and T-Soft platforms. Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce support will be added soon.

How long does setup take?

Twitter Pixel setup takes a few minutes. Scout setup with SDK installation and dashboard configuration can be completed within 30 minutes. sGTM setup including server provisioning may take a few hours.
